An online course for highly sensitive and neurodivergent people who want to build or grow a meaningful, sustainable online business.
Have You Always Wanted to Start an Online Business But Didn’t Know Where to Start?
It can be hard for many creative and sensitive people to feel confident in their business skills. Wading through the sea of online technology options can be overwhelming!
I created this course for sensitive and neurodivergent people who have something meaningful they want to create, offer, or share and want help figuring out how to build a business around it.
You do not have to build your business the way everyone else does.
My goal is to give you practical tools, guidance, and encouragement to help you start or grow an online business in a way that works for you.
You’ll learn practical business strategies while also considering your energy, nervous system, processing style, capacity, boundaries, and the kind of life you want your business to support.
Common Business Challenges
You might be experiencing:
Feeling overwhelmed by all the decisions involved in starting or growing a business.
Having meaningful ideas but struggling to know which one to begin with.
Feeling uncomfortable with visibility, marketing, or putting yourself “out there.”
Finding it difficult to charge appropriately for your work.
Getting caught in perfectionism or feeling like something has to be completely ready before you can share it.
Becoming overwhelmed by technology, websites, email systems, or all the tools people say you “need.”
Struggling with task initiation, prioritizing, or switching between all the different roles involved in running a business.
Having fluctuating energy or capacity and wondering how to build a business that can accommodate that.
Finding it difficult to balance your business with rest, relationships, health, caregiving, or other parts of your life.
Struggling with boundaries around clients, customers, communication, or availability.
Feeling especially affected by criticism or negative feedback.
Comparing yourself with entrepreneurs who seem able to produce and promote constantly.
Wanting your business to grow while also wanting it to feel authentic and sustainable.
Knowing you have something valuable to offer but feeling unsure how to turn it into a clear business.
Imagine…
Having a clearer sense of what you want your business to offer.
Knowing which next steps matter instead of trying to do everything at once.
Understanding where to invest your limited time and energy.
Feeling more comfortable communicating the value of your work.
Having practical tools for websites, newsletters, marketing, pricing, and organization.
Creating boundaries that protect your energy.
Building systems that keep supporting your business when you need time away.
Developing a business that works with your life and nervous system rather than constantly competing with them.
Imagine Growing a Business That Is Meaningful, Sustainable, and Financially Supportive
Sensitive and neurodivergent people often bring valuable perspectives to their work: creativity, depth, specialized interests, pattern recognition, empathy, careful observation, strong values, and ways of seeing things that others might miss.
You do not have to turn any of those qualities into a business. But if there is something you genuinely want to create or share, learning how to build a sustainable structure around it can make an enormous difference.
What could become possible if your business were designed around the way you actually work best?
“This course is one of the best investments I’ve made for my business! Julie has created a masterful blend of techniques that can be customized to grow a unique, heart-centered online business while managing stress and maintaining balance. I learned practical strategies for generating multiple sources of income and approaching marketing in a way that feels comfortable. Thank you, Julie!”

Why I Created This Course
I’m Julie Bjelland, LMFT
I’m a psychotherapist, author, educator, and founder of the Sensitive & Neurodivergent Community, Podcast, and Blog. My work supports sensitive and neurodivergent people around the world.
Over the years, I’ve grown an online business that has reached millions of people through my books, podcast, articles, courses, community, and educational resources. But I didn’t begin with a business plan or a clear roadmap. I began with something I cared deeply about and a desire to help.
I know what it is like to have a sensitive nervous system and to need a way of working that honors your energy, values, creativity, and capacity.
Traditional work environments are often built around expectations that can be especially draining for highly sensitive, autistic, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent people. Building my own business gave me the opportunity to create a different way of working, one with more autonomy, flexibility, meaning, and alignment with how my nervous system actually functions.
Along the way, people began asking me, “How did you grow your online business?”
What I learned is that we do not have to build businesses the way everyone else does.
Some of our greatest strengths can become part of the work we bring into the world: deep thinking, creativity, empathy, pattern recognition, intuition, passion, specialized knowledge, and a strong desire to contribute something meaningful.
The key is learning how to build around who you are rather than constantly trying to override yourself.
My own business has allowed me to choose my schedule, follow work that feels meaningful, support my family, spend more time creating, and build resources around the needs I was hearing from my community.
That is what I want to help you do, too.
You do not need to become louder, more polished, more productive, or more like someone else to build something meaningful. You can learn practical business tools while creating a structure that honors your nervous system, your capacity, your values, and the life you actually want to live.
Your way of seeing the world has value.
Your ideas have value.
And there may be people who would genuinely benefit from what you have to offer.
This course was created to help you bring those gifts into the world in a way that feels authentic, sustainable, and financially supportive.
“This course is very thorough, easy to follow. Julie has also provided a number of resources through-out which is very helpful. I enjoyed how she spoke to the Highly Sensitive Person’s challenges when doing business - especially the technological areas that I am often stuck with. I highly recommend this course if you are new to business or already have a business but want to expand it and reach more people. This is a great framework in which to work from.”
“I could not recommend this course enough! From the moment I started the course, it was one gold nugget after another. In fact, one of the things I learned from the course has been LIFE CHANGING for both me and my husband. I realized we were burning the candle at both ends and were constantly tired. And STILL, I felt like I was not doing enough in my business and was not seeing the success I craved. But with some techniques I learned in this course, my husband and I were able to change some things in our lives and in my business. Now I feel like I have more clarity and more energy (and not just in my business). Julie knows her HSP community well and because of that, she hit my pain and pleasure points on the target.”
A Business Course Designed for Sensitive & Neurodivergent People
This course grew directly out of conversations within my community. Again and again, I heard from sensitive and neurodivergent people who had meaningful ideas, services, creative work, or expertise they wanted to share, but the traditional advice about building a business often felt overwhelming or unsustainable.
Many struggled with putting themselves out there, marketing, technology, perfectionism, fear of criticism, knowing where to begin, or trying to keep up with business models built around constant visibility and productivity.
I wanted to create something different.
This course brings together the practical lessons I’ve learned from many years of building an online, heart-centered business, while also recognizing that energy, sensory needs, processing style, capacity, and nervous system wellbeing matter.
You’ll learn ways to simplify the process, make thoughtful decisions about where to put your energy, connect with the people who need what you offer, and create systems that can continue supporting your business even when you need more rest or time away.
For me, sustainability has always mattered as much as growth. I want a business that supports my life rather than a life organized around constantly feeding my business.
That includes creating resources and income streams that are less dependent on being available every day, protecting time for recovery and creativity, and choosing strategies that feel aligned rather than forcing myself into approaches that drain me.
I created this course to share what I wish I had known when I was starting out, so you can spend less time trying to figure everything out alone and more time building something that reflects your values, strengths, capacity, and goals.
Your business can grow without asking you to abandon yourself in the process.

This Is More Than a “How to Start a Business” Course
You’ll learn practical business foundations, but we’ll also address the parts of entrepreneurship that are often left out of traditional business courses.
Things like:
what to do when you have too many ideas and cannot decide where to begin
how to work with perfectionism and fear of being visible
how to respond when criticism hits hard
how to decide what is actually worth your limited energy
how to communicate and market without feeling as though you are performing
how to price your work without confusing your price with your worth
how to recognize when something should be simplified, automated, delegated, or stopped
how to use technology without building a business that becomes too complicated to maintain
how to create income in ways that are less dependent on your being available all the time
The goal is not simply to help you build more. It is to help you build thoughtfully.
“Julie taught me that I can run a successful business centered on the heart and values and that I don’t need to copy business models that only focus on money. Right now, I am working for a company and creating a business of my own. With the course I already feel more comfortable to pursue what I need and what I want. In addition, being in the community you will also receive the company of many HSPs and you will be able to express yourself in a safe place.”
“There are tons of online business courses out there but none of them really address starting or growing a business as an HSP. We have unique challenges that can hold us back from even starting a business while at the same time we have unique gifts and advantages that when harnessed correctly can transform the lives of those around us for the better. Julie’s course dives deep into the heart of both the challenges and the advantages of owning a business as an HSP and then provides beautiful tips, practices, and exercises to grow past whatever is holding you back. She also holds your hand through the nitty gritty of starting an online business, and how to move past overwhelm and fear to do it. I have taken many other online business courses and while they were helpful and I learned a lot from them, none of them really addressed my unique needs as an HSP, Julie’s course absolutely does. I truly cannot explain how wonderful it is to learn from someone who knows what you are going through, who understands, who was there herself and got past it. It’s such a blessing to know that I’m not alone.”

“I was stuck on where to start and how to put all the pieces of the puzzle together to develop a heart-centered online business. I feel very fortunate to have found Julie. As a fellow HSP Julie has created her course as one that is uniquely designed for how HSPs experience the world which is evident in not only the themes of the lessons but also the organization of the course. I found it to be very user friendly. The course has helped me to find clarity and a clear path so that I can take the needed steps to move forward. As a teacher and as a person Julie is there for you. Always encouraging and positive.”
“I have learned so much from this course offered by Julie B. I would highly recommend it to other HSP’s because it touches on a number of very important aspects for HSP’s, including how to cope with criticism, breaking things down to avoid becoming overwhelmed and creating multiple sources of income. I appreciated the personal touch of having short videos at the beginning of every chapter, which is a brief summary of the written content. I found the structure and organization of the course very helpful and found a lot of the material very helpful, especially because you get a lot of very specific and useful information in one place. I am also grateful for the ‘next steps’ at the end of every chapter, what a great way to strategize and develop a business plan.”
